AER Overseas Spouse Education Assistance Program (OSEAP) is for spouses of active duty Soldier’s assigned and living in Overseas Commands only (Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not accepted for OSEAP). The spouse must also reside with the Soldier at the assigned command. “Active Duty” military personnel are not eligible. This scholarship is for first undergraduate degrees only. Assistance is not for any type of graduate degree level courses.
Attention students: You must apply or reapply every term you wish to attend. And must complete a full application for the first term you attend in the academic year. The term deadlines are in the “Program Description” as well as the instructions of the “Downloadable Application”.

For applicants of the OSEAP scholarship only: if you wish to take online classes to schools that are located in the United States and not on command, they must be approved schools found in the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) catalogs. · Go to the DANTES website
· Once on the DANTES screen, select “Distance Learning Programs” (found in blue boxes on the left side of the screen)
· Select “DANTES Catalogs”
Take a few moments to look through all three catalogs; “DANTES Catalog of Nationally Accredited Distance Learning Programs” (NADLP), “DANTES External Degree Catalog” (DEDC), and “DANTES Independent Study Catalog” (DISC), to see if the school you wish to attend is approved for AER assistance
