AER ASSISTANCE TO WIDOWS OF SOLDIERS AND PARTNERSHIP WITH ARMY AND AIR FORCE MUTUAL AID ASSOCIATION

 Widows whose spouses are killed or died while on active duty are offered free lifetime membership with AAFMAA Financial Advisors.  This will entitle widows to an array of specialized services at no cost to them. AAFMAA Financial Advisors has expertise in the area of government survivor benefits.  AAFMAA Financial Advisors will provide the widow a printout reflecting the survivor benefits (social security, SBP, and VA or DIC) the family can expect to receive.  AAFMAA Financial Advisors will also include an explanation of the benefits and be available to answer the families' questions about the benefits. Widows will receive an annual printout reflecting projected benefit amounts each year as increased by COLA and notified throughout their lifetime of any law changes that affect their survivor benefits. Widows only need to activate these services by contacting AAFMAA Financial Advisors at MemberServices@aafmaaFinancial.com or call 1-888-707-1850. The CAO may also activate the widow's lifetime support by contacting AAFMAA Financial Advisors.
